Why is Static Eliminator safe for children's clothing, when chemical based sheets aren't?
Traditional chemical based sheets leave a residue on clothing, which counteracts any flame retardance that the material has. Since Static Eliminator leaves absolutely no residue, it will not affect the fabric in any negative way. You can use it without worry on any children's clothing.
How do I use Static Eliminator?
Simply place your Static Eliminator dryer sheets in your dryer with your clothes. When the load is finished, just leave the sheets in there for the next load! They're always in your dryer, waiting for the next cycle.
My new dryer says NOT to use dryer sheets. Can I still use Static Eliminator?
Absolutely. Some new dryers come with a warning that tells the owner not to use dryer sheets in their laundry load. This warning refers to chemical based sheets, which build up on the dryer drum and clog the vents and lint traps. Since Static Eliminator is chemical free, it can be used without diminishing the dryer's effectiveness or plugging up air flow.
Can I use this product for any kind of dryer load?
The Static Eliminator Re-Usable Dryer Sheet System works at any heat setting, with any amount of clothing.
Does it work with all kinds of fabrics?
Yes. We recommend that you combine sheer or completely synthetic fabrics with natural fibres and cottons for best results.
Do I ever have to clean my dryer sheets?
We recommend that after the first three or four uses, you wash your Static Eliminator dryer sheets with any kind of laundry load to remove any residue that may have been left behind from a chemical based sheet. After that, wash your dryer sheets every four months to remove any detergent build-up that may have collected in the Static Eliminator weave. Just throw the newly washed sheets back in your dryer, and they will work effectively wet or dry.
Is there a chance that Static Eliminator will leave spots and stains on my clothes?
Absolutely not. Static Eliminator is chemical free, so it is safe for even the most delicate of fabrics.
Won't there still be chemicals on my clothes when I start using Static Eliminator?
Once you have washed your clothing, the residue will break down. However, the major residue is actually in the dryer itself, stuck to the inside of the drum. For this reason, the Static Eliminator will only reach maximum effectiveness after three or four loads have gone through, and the residue has had a chance to burn off.
I have a single unit which is a combination washer and dryer. Will your product work for me?
Static Eliminator works wet or dry. You can put our product in at the beginning of your wash with your laundry load and leave it in for the entire wash, spin and dry cycle.
